Happy Cat Farm has been a purveyor of heirloom seeds and plants since before most of us were just learning what organic meant. In 2010, Happy Cat Farm began growing their inventory from just seeds and plants to fine crafted gardening and forage tools as well as fine artisan products from the Susquehanna and delaware valley regions. The site was developed through growing and harvest seasons. The colors and design elements were scaled back from Happy Cat’s previous site to focus on usability and products. The primary influence on the site, is Happy Cat founders Tim and Amy’s farming work ethic, and typography was our primary design tool.

The current Happy Cat website is built on a feature rich e-commerce application. Since it went live in early 2011, the Happy Cat Farm has added more products, and they have seen a growth in sales both in number of customers and total price per transaction. The design has succeeded in communicating the unique personality, professionalism, and experience of the Happy Cat team, and the e-commerce application has given them the power to grow their store as they need.
