Cartooning/Sequential
Comics is the only storytelling medium where the viewer controls time. A good comic is like a fibonaci sequence: each panel is a three-act story, they combine to create a page with a three-act story and pages combine to create a larger three-act story. Everything has a beginning and an end but in the middle we get to explore.
Screentime
The Screentime series began with a graphite drawing of the Swamp Thing, some neglected pens, and digital burnout. I kept finding myself building up textures with ink on the quick sketch whenever I had downtime. I liked how I felt after spending just a few minutes of mark-making and soon began exploring that aspect without any underdrawing.
